Active and regenerative electronic loads with arbitrary operation

Very robust machines, especially developed for intensive use on production and testing lines, they are also used in research and development laboratories.

Static loads CT series absorb energy from an external source and return it to a DC bus or to the mains grid, depending on model. They work with a wide range of input frequency from DC up to 800Hz (depending on model).
They can be coupled to many of our converters to achieve a complete supply + absorption system.

Type of absorption selectable:
- Constant current
- Constant resistance
- Constant power
- Constant current with arbitrary waveform
In constant current mode the phase shift between applied voltage and current drawn can be set from -90° to +90 ° to simulate inductive and capacitive loads with CosPhi from 0 to 1.
You can put together more single–phase units to assemble multi-phase systems.

Commands

The loads can be controlled:
locally by potentiometer and buttons
remotely via analog and digital I / O
remotely via RS485 serial interface

Measurements provided:

Input voltage
Input current
Power factor
Active power
Apparent power
Simulated impedance
Resistance

Standard equipments:

Current or resistance adjustment potentiometer
LED displays show measurements
Mains line breaker (depending on model)
Digital control inputs
Analog control inputs
Emergency circuit (depending on model)

General Characteristics:

Mains Supply: 230V, 400V 3phase + / - 15% or DC
Assembled in rack or cabinet
Isolation Input / Output
Isolation output / ground
Available voltage ranges from 30V to 1000V
Available power ranges from 1.5 KVA to 1.000KVA
Protection from: short-circuit, overload, over-temperature, extra voltage regeneration, mains supply out of range.

Using the software "CT Manager", it’s possible to remotely control them via a PC in both single and three phase configuration , and to set arbitrary waveforms.
